Hello and Welcome to the website of Glemsford Methodist Church. We are a small congregation based in the Suffolk village of Glemsford, situated between Sudbury and Clare, along the Stour Valley. Our chapel is located opposite the Village Hall on Tye Green.

We are a community which exists to bring worship and glory to God, and to show the love and example of Jesus Christ to the people around us. Our Church is part of the wider Methodist Circuit of Bury St. Edmunds, which takes in Sudbury, Stowmarket, Bury St. Edmunds and surrounding villages. We are also part of the East Anglia District of the Methodist Church. Our minister is the Rev. John Boardman, who is also the minister of  St. John's Methodist Church in Sudbury and Bradfield Methodist Church, in Stanningfield.

We are also a member of Churches Together in Sudbury & District, along with our sister church of St. John's in Sudbury. Churches Together in Sudbury & District is an interdenominational organisation which aims to unite Christians around Sudbury and district. They host a number of events such as forums (held every few months) and prayer breakfast (see below), as well as other social events. For information about Churches Together in Sudbury & District, please see the link on the Home page.

We sometimes host Prayer Breakfasts, which are part of the social life of Churches Together in Sudbury & District. Prayer Breakfasts are a great way to meet other Christians from churches across Sudbury and surrounding villages. They are held in a different church in the district every Saturday morning at 8am (except during August), and consist of a communal breakfast followed by a time of prayer and reflection. For Prayer Breakfasts or other social events taking place at Glemsford Methodist Church, please see the Events & Notices page, which is updated regularly.
