Services and Worship
We worship at Glemsford Methodist Church on most Sundays of the month, except when there is a Circuit Service held outside the village. Please see Circuit Services below for further information.
Our regular services take place at 6pm, and are lead either by our own minister Rev. John Boardman, one of several local or visiting preachers or on some occasions by a local arrangement within the church. Glemsford Methodist Church also sometimes hosts Circuit Services. We have a monthly service of Holy Communion at 6pm lead by Rev. John Boardman, on the first or second Sunday of each month, although they can occur later in the month. Our worship is lead by our dedicated organist Nigel, and we now have a new organ installed.
Everybody is welcome to worship with us at Glemsford Methodist Church. We are a friendly community, and any new visitors will receive a warm welcome.
Circuit Services are special services held across different churches in our circuit. Circuit Services take place every few months, and details for these and other Circuit events can be found on the Bury St. Edmunds Circuit website (see Home page for web links to other relevant organisations), or alternatively printed copies of the latest Circuit Preaching Plan are available at Glemsford Methodist Church. If a Circuit Service is held outside of Glemsford, it means that there will be no service at this church on that Sunday.
Circuit Services are a really fantastic opportunity for people across the Circuit to get to know each other and worship together. They are usually preceded by a Faith Tea, where light food and drink refreshments are made available.
The Rev. John Boardman
Minister of Glemsford Methodist Church
